Duties:
We are seeking capable field biologists to monitor construction for compliance with biological resource protection measures during construction of solar arrays and associated facilities. Field work will include habitat surveys, special-status and endangered species surveys within construction areas, and monitoring the construction site and activities for compliance with permit and environmental impact mitigation measures designed to protect wildlife, particularly special-status and endangered species.
There are multiple openings to be filled immediately. All positions will be based out of the greater San Joaquin Valley or Mohave areas for the duration of construction. Applicants should have a strong academic background and solid field and/or research experience.
Qualifications:
A degree in wildlife ecology or field biology is preferred; equivalent work may be substituted. Demonstrable field skills critical. Good general communication skills and an ability to work well with diverse personnel within a tightly regulated construction environment also are important.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
