Convocatorias para ocupar cuatro puestos de investigador de elevada calidad y un puesto de técnico académico.


El INECOL invita a participar en las Convocatorias para ocupar cuatro puestos de investigador de elevada calidad y un puesto de técnico académico altamente capacitado de México y del resto del mundo. Los investigadores deberán mostrar un perfil compatible y congruente con el estudio de Angiospermas que se describe abajo (siguiendo la clasificación de APG IV, 2016). La revisión de las solicitudes comenzará inmediatamente y continuará hasta que las/los candidatas/os hayan sido identificadas/os. Las/los candidatas/os elegidas/os se incorporarán a un grupo de trabajo de la Red Biodiversidad y Sistemática, en el Centro Regional del Bajío (Pátzcuaro, Michoacán) involucrado en el estudio de la Flora de México de manera multidisciplinaria, especialmente en la Flora del Bajío y de Regiones Adyacentes.

Disney Conservation Fund grants.

The wellbeing of people is deeply connected to the health of the planet. That’s why the Disney Conservation Fund grants support projects with a holistic approach to conservation – blending both scientific research and community engagement to protect wildlife and their habitats.

To date the fund has awarded more than $65 million to projects in 115 countries through its annual grants program.

Please review eligibility criteria for our Annual Conservation Grants program. Submit an inquiry form by the deadline — no invitation code is required for this step. Projects that are a good fit for our criteria will be provided with additional details to submit a full application.

The DCF will accept inquiries for the 2018 granting cycle from October 1, 2017- November 17, 2017 (11:59pm EST)

Helpdesk Assistant Rainforest Alliance

The Helpdesk Assistant (HA) will be responsible for coordinating efforts within IT to troubleshoot technical issues and requests, and liaise with outsourced vendors when necessary for Latin America. S/he will also work in close coordination with the SharePoint Administrator to provide SharePoint support for the organization. S/he will ensure the smooth and optimal functioning of networks, computers, servers, telephony systems and other IT devices. S/he will also provide the foundation for scalable Rainforest Alliance organizational growth and facilitate system design activities. S/he will provide continuous user training to staff on organization infrastructure systems and will ensure that Rainforest Alliance IT systems are well maintained, secure and staff has access to the training and technology needed to support Rainforest Alliance’s mission.

Applications for the 2018 Rolex Awards for Enterprise are now open. Five Rolex Awards will be offered to Young Leaders, between the ages of 18 and 30 years old, who have a ground-breaking proposal or initiative that will help to expand knowledge of our world and improve the quality of life on the planet.

Applications must be broadly in the areas of the environment, applied science and technology, or exploration.

The five winners will each receive 100,000 Swiss francs, double the amount of prize money previously offered to young Award winners. They will also benefit from worldwide publicity and receive a Rolex chronometer.

In addition to demonstrating a spirit of enterprise and leadership, candidates must put forward projects or work plans that have a clear purpose, are original and have the potential for significant impact.

Candidates must be aged between 18–30 years at the end of the application period, on 30 June 2017.
