Estudiante de Doctorado en ecologia acuatica (peces y aves)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate student to conduct research on interactions among top predators in freshwater lakes. Our main objective is to examine how predatory fish (walleye, pike, trout) interact with each other, as well as with fish-eating birds (cormorants and pelicans). The program will require field work in Saskatchewan, sometimes in remote areas, as well as extensive application of stable isotopes chemistry. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the design and implementation of their dissertation research. Candidates should have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in biology or related science (M.Sc. preferred) and excellent academic qualifications. Experience operating power boats, canoes, and fisheries sampling gear, as well as some laboratory training would be an asset.
