Volunteer come down for a minimum of one week.

Location

Located in Malena, District of Mariato, Province of Veraguas, Panama

Background Information

The Associacion Conservacionista de Playa Malena is a group of community volunteers that work to protect the 5 species of sea turtles that nest on thier beach.

Duties

Volunteers will assist with patrolling the beach at night, collect eggs, keeping records, and returning hatched turtles to the sea.

Requirements

A basic level of Spanish is a plus.

Benefits/Costs

The program costs $150.00 per week, which covers a home-stay and meals.
