Job Description: The University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Life Sciences, Institute of Food and Resource Economics wishes to appoint a professor with special responsibilities within Fisheries Economics and Managemen tfrom the 1st June 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter. The professorship is a category where the appointment is limited to three-year period, with the possibility of a 3-year extension. On the expiry of the professorship period, the appointee is ensured employment and remuneration as an associate professor. The professor s duties will comprise research and teaching in Fisheries Economics and Management. The appointee should have documented teaching experience as well as qualifications within scientific research in fisheries economics and management. Application deadline is April 23rd, 2010. Qualifications: Qualification requirements
Emphasis will be laid on the following professional and personal qualifications:
Documentation of a high degree of original scientific production at an international level, cf. appendix 3
Documented research qualifications in relation to the above-mentioned field(s); cf. appendices 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.
Documented teaching qualifications; cf. appendix 6
Experience in research management or other managerial functions;
Fluency in English. Faculty of Life Sciences generally encourages employees who do not speak Danish to acquire a working knowledge of the language.
Furthermore, the successful applicant is enterprising by nature and has cooperative and managerial skills necessary for the level of management for which the professor will be responsible.
