At-sea monitors


Responsibilities: At-sea monitors will collect scientific, management, compliance, and other data at sea through interviews of vessel captains and crew, observations of fishing operations, and measurements of selected portions of the catch as directed by the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Vessels range from 30’ to 100’ and trips are 1 to 14 days long. Two-week, paid training session held in Woods Hole, MA.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree with a major in the natural sciences. 30 semester hours in the biological sciences and one undergraduate course in math or statistics. Experience with data entry on computers. Sea experience a plus.
Compensation: Full time positions available.
