El Departamento de Acuicultura de la División de Oceanología del Centro de
Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada, .B.C. abre la
convocatoria para ocupar el puesto de investigador en el área de Ingeniería
Acuícola. El candidato debe tener el Grado de Doctor en Ciencias especializado
en Ingeniería en Acuicultura para desarrollar algunas de las líneas de
investigación en:
• Diseño de sistemas de cultivos en el mar
• Diseño de sistemas hidráulicos tomando en cuenta sistemas de filtración,
conducción y desagüe y transferencia de calor
• Diseño de laboratorios acuícolas.
• Diseño y estudios de viabilidad técnica.
Además deberá mostrar capacidad de:
• Someter propuestas de proyectos de Investigación Científica o
Tecnológica o de vinculación.
• Impartir cursos de posgrado en Ingeniería Acuícola y Economía Acuícola.
• Dirigir tesis de posgrado a nivel de Maestría y Doctorado en Ciencias.
• Colaborar y trabajar en equipo.
• Colaborar con otros investigadores o departamentos dentro de la División
de Oceanología o del CICESE en general.
La solicitud deberá estar acompañada por una carta de solicitud con la
propuesta de investigación y un objetivo de enseñanza, el Curriculum Vitae y
dos cartas de referencias, mas los sobretiros de las publicaciones recientes. Un
número seleccionado de candidatos será invitado a presentar un seminario en
el CICESE y a discutir los intereses y planes con investigadores, estudiantes y
administradores académicos. El (la) candidato(a) seleccionado(a) podrá
incorporarse a la institución en el presente año.

The Aquaculture Department of the Division of Oceanology of the Center for
Scientific Research and Graduate Education at Ensenada (CICESE) invites
applications for a tenure track position in Aquaculture Engineering. The
candidate will be expected to develop the research area related with
• Design of aquaculture systems in open sea
• Design of hydraulic systems considering filtration units, heat transfer,
sterilization systems and aquaculture waste treatment.
• Design of aquaculture hatcheries.
• Design and studies of technical viability of proposals and
The candidate most have a completed PhD, preferably with a postdoctoral
experience, should be highly motivated, have published at least one first-author
peer reviewed paper and be able to a) submit scientific or technological
research proposals as well as technological transfer projects, b) teach
postgraduate courses in Aquaculture Engineering and Economy e) advise
graduate students for M. Sc. and Ph D. studies and d) team work, and e) share
research interests with other researchers or departments within the Oceanology
Division or CICESE in general.
The application should be accompanied by a cover letter with a proposal with
research and teaching objectives, a CV, two letters of reference plus the reprint
of recent publication(s). A select number of candidates will be invited to present
a seminar at CICESE and to discuss their interests and plans with researchers,
students and academic administrators. The successful candidate will be
expected to take-up his/her position this year.
